The fundamental reason
this position exists is to serve as a key member of the Mayor's team,
coordinating logistics to ensure seamless operations for the Mayor's office.
The work responsibilities include coordinating lodging, transportation, and
meal accommodations while providing personal briefings and logistical guidance
to the Mayor and staff, developing strategic plans, maintaining
confidentiality, and exercising sound judgment in decision-making are integral
aspects of the role. Conducting comprehensive research on municipal issues,
preparing briefings and presentations, and facilitating interactions with
stakeholders and the media further contribute to the effective governance and
support of the Mayor and the Mayor's Executive Staff in their responsibilities.
This classification reports directly to the City of Montgomery Mayor.
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political
Science, Communications, Business Administration, or related field plus three
(3) years of progressive experience supporting senior executives, public
figures, or government officials demonstrating proficiency in logistics
coordination, confidentiality management, research, and strategic planning.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training, and
experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills,
and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
Must possess
exceptional organizational and time management skills, along with excellent
written and verbal communication abilities, strong interpersonal skills,
adaptability, attention to detail, and a willingness to work occasional
evenings or weekends to support the Mayor's office operations.
