Bachelor’s
degree with major course work in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations,
or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the field of public
affairs, public relations, public and internal information, journalism, or communications
as social media content creator or similar role with proficiency in using
social media management tools and analytics platforms.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training, and
experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to
perform the job will be considered.
Must possess
exceptional organizational and time management skills, along with excellent
written and verbal communication abilities, strong interpersonal skills,
adaptability, attention to detail, and a willingness to work occasional
evenings or weekends to support the city’s branding strategy. The employee will
work in a fast-paced environment, spending much of the day traveling from
various events to meetings throughout the city, and must be able to work
independently.
