The
fundamental reason this classification exists is to supervise the construction
and maintenance of athletic fields, to include baseball and soccer, throughout
the City of Montgomery maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department. The work responsibilities are: plans and
schedules athletic field construction or maintenance projects; supervises athletic
field crews in the maintenance and construction of athletic fields; and assists
the Parks Division Superintendent in planning the annual budget to ensure
adequate funds and equipment to construct and maintain athletic fields in the
City of Montgomery. This employee
reports to the Parks Division Superintendent of the Parks and Recreation
Department.
High school diploma or GED
certificate and four (4) years of responsible experience involving athletic
field maintenance and construction which must include at least two (2) years of
supervisory experience in athletic field maintenance and construction.
