This is advanced skilled technical work in graphic arts. Employees in this class perform skilled technical graphic arts work in the operation of all equipment and in the performance of the more complex technical processes used in the areas of copying, duplicating, and printing. Work involves a demonstrable and thorough knowledge and understanding of the printing segment of the graphic arts industry. Work is performed in accordance with departmental rules and regulations and may include other duties as assigned by a superior. Work in progress and work completed is subject to close supervision by superior.
High school diploma or GED, with one (1) year of experience in graphic arts, to include, duplicating, bindery, platemaking, layout, composition, printing equipment maintenance and printing estimating; or completion of post-secondary training in graphic arts from a technical college.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the
requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
Must be able to stand for long periods and be able to lift weights up to 25 pounds.
