Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.
**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and MCCP Board Rules & Regulations**
The fundamental
reason that this classification exists is to assist in the maintenance of an
inventory of various stored materials. The primary work responsibilities of
this classification include: receiving items for inventory, maintaining the
items in storage, issuing and releasing items, and performing other related
duties. The supervisors of these employees vary by assigned location.
High school diploma or GED certificate
and six (6) months of experience in warehouse operations such as receiving, issuing,
and storing materials.
NOTE: Qualifying
education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills,
and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
Must have or obtain a valid and current Alabama
driver's license in order to drive vehicles for the delivery or pick-up of
items.
PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS: Incumbents kneel, crouch, twist, climb ladders and
stairs, reach, bend, push, pull, drag, grasp and lift items in the storage
facility. Some positions may require incumbents to lift up to 80 pounds
unassisted.
