Administration of a comprehensive program to
reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths and financial
losses as well as assisting with the administrative functions of the Risk
Management Program. Major work
responsibilities include investigating accidents, damages, and personal injury;
gathering and analyzing
safety and accident data; managing a
comprehensive worker safety program; developing and managing a comprehensive
general liability program; managing a worker’s compensation program; and performing
various administrative duties related to risk management. Work is performed under the supervision of the
Director of Risk Manager.
Bachelor’s degree in public or business
administration, human resources, safety engineering, risk management or a
closely related degree and two (2) years of experience in the area of risk
management, risk control, or worker’s compensation administration.
NOTE: Designation
as an ARM or CSP will substitute for the two years of experience.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
Must have a valid State of Alabama driver's
license and an insurable driving record for the last three (3) years and
maintain such valid driver's license and insurable driving record while
employed. Designation as a Certified Safety
Professional (CSP) and/or an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) is desired during employment.
