The fundamental reason this position exists is to provide the County
Community Corrections department with drug testing services. Employees in this
position will maintain testing equipment, collect test samples, perform data
entry, and conduct drug testing in the department laboratory. Employees perform
other duties as directed including preparing reports and performing
administrative duties. Employees in this class do not receive close supervision. Work requires computer skills and attention
to detail. Results of drug testing are confidential, and procedures are
followed to ensure confidentiality. Work is performed with considerable
independence but is reviewed by the Director of Community Corrections and
others assigned by the Director.
High school diploma or GED
certificate supplemented by the completion of one post-secondary computer
course. One (1) year of experience in administering drug tests or performing
light laboratory duties in a medical setting to include use of basic computer
skills, or a combination of education and experience.

Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite
knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
