The
fundamental reason this position exists is to provide assistance and support
for senior Community Corrections Staff. This position assists senior staff in
identifying and monitoring offenders placed into Community Corrections programs
and securing alternative releases for all targeted populations. The work
responsibilities include assisting the Community Correction Officer in
researching possible alternative releases or dispositions of both
non-adjudicated offenders and adjudicated offenders; assisting and supporting
supervision and monitoring of Community Corrections program populations
participating in community corrections programs; monitoring and verifying the
progress of offenders; performing administrative and program support duties;
prepares reports and documentation. The Community Corrections Technician
reports directly to the Community Corrections Supervisor.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, criminal justice, criminology, counseling, psychology, sociology or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the
requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
Must have a valid Alabama Driver’s License or have the ability to acquire one at the time of employment.
