The
fundamental reason that this classification exists is to operate the inmate
library at the Montgomery County Detention Facility. Major work responsibilities include monitor
inmate activities in regards to library usage, completing logs, reports, etc.
in regards to library usage by inmates, and maintaining the daily operation of
the library. The classification is
supervised by the inmate services manager, the Corrections Officer
Captain.
High School
or G.E.D. and six (6) months clerical library experience to include charging
and discharging books, referencing books, and cataloging books, or an
equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Position
generally requires the ability to bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over
time while placing books on bottom floor-level shelves, reach overhead up to
6-7 feet high while lifting books onto shelves, and move objects weighing in
excess of 30 pounds.
