The fundamental reason this classification exists is to manage the custodial operations performed by service maintenance workers and contracted workers on two shifts for a group of public buildings. The essential functions are: supervises housekeeping staff; inspects housekeeping of building areas; coordinates office moves and setups; and performs administrative duties. Employee supervises a subordinate supervisor, foreman and service maintenance workers. This employee reports to the General Services Director.
High school or GED. Five (5) years of experience in custodial work of a large building complex (including floors, restrooms, and offices) and one (1) year of supervisory experience.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the
requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
Individuals must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an insurable driving record. Ability to be on call at night to supervise the night crew as needed.
