The fundamental reason this position exists is
to ensure the attractive appearance and proper maintenance of County gardens,
parking decks, sidewalks, and other County areas. The work responsibilities of the position
are: maintains gardens, building
grounds, county parks, and paved areas; maintains all equipment, tools, and
work areas; performs special gardening projects; trains and supervises
personnel; and performs administrative related duties. Incumbents are supervised by the General
Services Director.
High school diploma or GED. Three year's experience in grounds
maintenance with six months supervision of grounds keeping activities.
NOTE:
Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite
knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
