Production Controller (Traffic Engineering)

Nature of Work

The fundamental reason this position exists is to manage the clerical operations of the Maintenance or Traffic Engineering Department. The Production Controller may supervise approximately three to six employees who are predominantly involved in processing the office related functions of the department such as material acquisitions. The Production Controller maintains the project expenditure database for all Maintenance or Traffic Engineering Department projects; maintains the project expenditure database for various Maintenance or Traffic Engineering Department projects and performs various administrative duties. The Production Controller receives supervision from the Maintenance Department Director or the Director of Traffic Engineering and/or Department Administrative Officer.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a closely-related field and four years of office administration experience to include bookkeeping duties with at least two years in a senior administrative capacity.

NOTE:  Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.

 

Kind of Examination

If there are five or less qualified applicants, they will be considered equally qualified and placed on the register in alphabetical order.
