Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.
**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and MCCP Board Rules & Regulations**
Bachelor's
degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER), Recreation Administration,
or a closely related field and one (1) year of professional supervisory
experience in the administration of recreation and/or athletic programs in a
parks and recreation department, school, or similar agency.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s license and
insurable driving record. Must have
Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement or be able to
obtain one within six (6) months of employment. May be required to work nights, weekends, and overtime
for special events and emergencies.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Ability to exert moderate physical effort in light work typically involving some combination of walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (12 - 20) lbs.
