Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.
**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and MCCP Board Rules & Regulations**
Applicants must have four (4)
current years of combined E9-1-1 emergency and non-emergency telephone experience providing radio communications support to fire, medical, and law enforcement
responders in a dispatching capacity of an organization equal in programmatic scope
and geographical size comparable to the City of Montgomery.
Applicant
must be able to type at least 35 wpm. Must be available to work any hour
shifts as needed to oversee operations and ensure consistency among the shifts.
Applicant must be willing to sign a willingness statement, must be willing
to respond to the Emergency Communications Center to meet community service
expectations, respond to and recover from disasters and other significant
events, and follow the instructions of organization leadership. The City
of Montgomery's Emergency Communications Center operates 24/7, year-round. You
will be required to work non-business hours, weekends, and many holidays.
However, employees receive additional compensation for these
inconveniences.
