Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.
**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and MCCP Board Rules & Regulations**
The fundamental reason that this classification
exists is to develop multiple-tiered assessments and multiple choice tests and
to assist the department head in the supervision and management of the
Personnel Department. The major work responsibilities for the position include
providing administrative and management support to the Personnel Director;
supervising employees; planning and managing complex job analysis,
classification and testing projects; conducting job analysis; designing
selection procedures; and administering and scoring assessment centers or other
tests. The incumbents are responsible for a wide variety of functions requiring
knowledge of policies and their application to unusual situations. The
incumbents make decisions to develop procedures to solve problems, use independent
judgment, and exercise discretion in interpreting policies. The senior analyst
differs from the personnel analyst in that the senior analyst supervises,
develops multi-tiered assessments, and provides management support to the
Personnel Director. The classification is directly supervised by the Personnel
Director.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
Ability to work overtime at night, holidays and
weekends as needed to administer tests or meet deadlines. Valid Alabama
driver's license as needed to travel to remote job sites.
Complete an online application by visiting Montgomery City-County Personnel's Online Employment Center. Paper applications are no longer accepted. Completed applications will be accepted online until 5:00 p.m. on the closing date. If there is no closing date, the announcement may be closed at any time without prior notice.
