Under general supervision, is responsible for all plumbing work involved in the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of water, waste, sewage and drainage pipes, plumbing fixtures and accessories throughout the District.

May involve exposure to a variety of operating mechanical equipment and loud noise and/or noxious odors. May include working in all types of weather conditions throughout the plant facility and collection system.
Graduation from a standard senior high school or the equivalent and two years of experience equivalent to a Plumber Leadman, or three years as a journeyman Plumber. Possession of a valid State of Illinois or City of Chicago Plumber’s license.
Additional experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
