BALLOT GENERATION SERVICES SPECIALIST, 4080

Work Location:  State Election Board, Room G28, Oklahoma State Capitol

Introduction:
The State Election Board (SEB) is seeking a dependable, organized, and self-motivated individual for SEB’s Ballot Generation Services Division in Oklahoma City.

Basic Purpose of Position:
Duties for the position include the following:
• Use Windows 7 and proprietary election software to create, proofread, correct, and maintain election databases for all elections called by authorizing entities in Oklahoma.
• Create ballot proofs, and perform all tasks related to ballot proofing and testing.
• Receive, review, verify, and organize all necessary election-related documentation supplied to Ballot Generations Services staff by County Election Board personnel.
• Assist County Election Board personnel with election setup functions in the proprietary election software.
• Communicate necessary information related to election setup and ballot generation to County Election Board personnel, State Election Board staff, and other applicable parties.
• Assist with the creation of a written procedural document for use by State Election Board staff for election setup and ballot generation tasks.
• Assist with the evaluation of requests from new vendors to become certified ballot printers in Oklahoma and with the awarding of a statewide ballot printing contract.
• Participate in the development and presentation of training for county and state election officials.
• Additional duties as assigned by division Director.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience with Windows 7 and higher operating system
• Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Preference given to applicants with election administration experience
