Adornus - Production Operator

Job Overview

The Production Operator is an integral part of the manufacturing process performing specialized tasks in a repetitive and efficient manner. In an environment like production, this employee must be competent and comprehend the process. To ensure production procedures are carried out smoothly and to maximize efficiency one must maintain successful workflows. Being a team player is essential since all tasks require close collaboration with teammates.

 Duties and Responsibilities

• Contributes to team effort by following instructions from Team Lead to accomplish specialized assigned task(s) in a state-of-the-art production facility
• Safely operates machinery and equipment to help meet or exceed production and quality goals
• Tracks records of output; compares with production orders; reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Team Lead immediately
• Transports raw materials
• Identifies issues in efficiency; suggest improvements to Team Lead
• Ensures product meets high-quality standards before transferring to the next operation within the cabinet making process
• Follow 6S process: Safety, Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain by participating in daily housekeeping activities indicative of a safe and well-organized work environment
• Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Company policies, an Safety Guidelines; wears required PPE (safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hearing protection)
• Job rotation and relief of other team members
• Punctual and regular attendance
• Performs all other duties as necessary or assigned 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Physical stamina and strength with ability to walk and stand continuously throughout the shift performing repetitive tasks for extended periods with ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and/or tools with ability to read measurements, and/or calculate numbers, use handheld tools (i.e. handheld pallet jacks, tape measure, industrial hot glue gun, etc.)
• Ability to perform well under pressure while multitasking in a fast paced, but organized manner, with strong attention to detail to ensure task is completed efficiently, to the correct standard, and in the necessary time frame
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach with focus on safety, and attention to detail E
• xcellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work and communicate well with others

Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be at least 18 years of age

• Punctual and regular attendance required, mandatory overtime dictated by production demands, therefore daily and/or weekend overtime required as needed
• Technical degree or a formal Apprenticeship is desirable but not required
• Previous production experience in a manufacturing environment performing repetitive task preferred
• Safety and OSHA training (Company will train)
• Candidate must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

Working Conditions

The employee is often exposed to hazardous equipment and situations that may produce cuts. The employee is occasionally exposed toxic or caustic chemicals. Risk of electrical shock is very minimal. The noise level in the work environment is equally moderate to loud.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
