is assisting with the recruitment and training for

GML Industries, LLC is locating a new facility in Spartanburg County. GML Industries, LLC manufactures automotive wiring harnesses and power distribution boxes for fire truck manufacturers, over the road trailer manufacturers, engine refuelers, etc.
We are seeking qualified candidates for the start-up of our facility in Duncan.
Potential employment opportunities exist for:
Direct Hire Production Associates - 1st Shift
Job Duties:
A self-motivated person with a minimum of a high school diploma capable of reading work instructions and building automotive wire harness to those work instructions including having the following minimum qualifications:
- Reading and understanding the work instructions
- Measuring the correct gauge of wire at the correct length required
- Cutting the correct gauge of wire at the correct length required
- Stripping wire/Splicing wire as required by the work instructions
- Any Solder work required to ensure harness connections are vibration resistant
- Running the wire printer to mark the wire per customer’s requirements i.e. NFPA – must have strong spelling skills
- Building the harnesses per the customer design – blueprints of the harness are in front the builder as well as detailed work instructions.
- Identifying connectors and pins/sockets as required by the customer for each end point of the harness. Tools for stripping the wire, and instructions for crimping the pins/sockets are provided.
- Braiding or putting harness in plastic loom per customer’s requirements – must be capable of lifting heavy wire harness up for extended periods of time to ensure braiding is uniform and conforms to customer requirements.
- The employee should also be able to test all connections to ensure 100% conformance to the customer requirements.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Production experience preferred
Shift hours: 7 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday – some overtime after 90 days probation period.
Starting wage: $ 15.00 to 18.00 per hour commensurate with experience
GML Industries, LLC offers a competitive benefits package. GML pays 100% of the employee’s medical insurance and also offers vision and dental insurance via payroll deduction. PTO time is accrued from day 1 but cannot be taken in the first 90 days (probation period). Paid holidays after 30 days of employment.
