Introduction

In cooperation with
Greenville Technical College
is assisting with the recruitment and training for
Tool Crib Coordinator (B-Tech) (First Shift)
- Maintain and continuously develop 5S system that addresses safety, housekeeping, quality and continuous improvement related to the tool crib
- Maintain and control inventory in tool crib; count and weigh all incoming components and place components in designated location
- Maintain inventory records; restock items returned from assembly after weighing inventory
- Write and enter stock transaction cards in computer and read back reports; run various reports as needed
- Monitor transfers of components in/out of crib and to/from different plants
- Participate in crib inventories and control daily cycle counts to ensure accuracy of inventory
- Work with Production Control on availabilities to and order numbers finished in crib; issue requisitions
- Move a variety of containers and pallets using a tugger unit and various pull carts, lifting equipment and hand trucks
- May perform other duties as assigned by management
- Proficient computer skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient/proven ability to read print and measurement of parts to print using various tools, such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Proficient math skills for accuracy of inventory control
- Demonstrate and support the JTKET philosophy, policies, standards for quality, IATF 16949, standard work, safety, environmental and ergonomics
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work without the need for constant direction/supervision and contribute toward the success of the team and the company
- Excellent communication skills, including interaction with others, due to communication with external and internal customers.
- Ability to transfer knowledge and train others on off-shifts in the tool crib
- Ability and willingness to be a certified fork lift driver when needed
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Ability to work overtime and any shift as needed
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Will be required to do the following throughout the shift: standing, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching above and below shoulders, moving left to right repetitively, grasping, and fine finger dexterity.
- May be required to lift during shift up to 40 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required with this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- The performance of this position requires exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes, safety glasses with side shields.
