Potential employment opportunities exist for:
Sewing Machine Operator
The finishing area produces WIP and Finished goods from printed and raw materials. Work involved includes the ability to complete a variety of sewing/stitching, hand-finishing, graphic assembly and processes safely, with a sense of urgency and attention to detail. Operations include sewing, grommeting, stretched canvas installation, display assembly, packaging and fulfillment and many other product applications. Vinyl Cutting, Thermal Bending and Machine/Hand application are also areas that may be included in the operators work on finishing processes. Work may be included in one or all the areas mentioned above.
Job Duties:
- Production sewing using industrial sewing machines.
- Operate various types of manual, semi-auto or automatic machines.
- Daily basic maintenance of the tooling and machines.
- Track time, materials and productivity through internal computer programs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Inspect the product before and after processing and reject the defective parts according to quality requirements.
- Meet daily production goals.
- Installation and packaging of products according to department standards.
- Actively participate in the resolution of problems by improving processes and bringing ideas to the table.
- Follow all safety protocols.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Experience and technical understanding with industrial sewing equipment and sewing processes.
- Ability to use foot or knee controls of industrial sewing machines.
- Attention to detail and maintaining internal and external quality standards.
- Working well within both a team-based environment and independently.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic measurement skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Experience Required:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Industrial sewing machine experience preferred.
- 1 year production experience required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THIS JOB
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills including demonstrated listening skills and the ability to present ideas and thoughts concisely and effectively both internally and outside the organization.
- Is technically savvy, proficient in or ready to learn Gmail, Google Docs, Excel, TBG Systems, various software and hardware.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, twist and bend, kneel and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to use foot or knee controls of industrial sewing machines
- Ability to lift 20lbs.

Shift hours: M-F 6:45 am – 3:15 pm
Starting wage or wage range: $18.00 per hour
