Warping Operator

Starting Wage Range: $18.80-$22.63

Job Summary: This position is responsible for wrapping yarn around section beams, repairing breaksets which occur during running time. As well they must keep machines patrolled while beam is running. Each associate is responsible for their own safety. 

Machines, tool, and equipment used: Warpers, Creels, Stools, Ladders, Benches, Screw Drivers, Allen Wrenches, Adjustable Wrench, Section Beams

Materials Used: Knot Locks, Scissors, Pen, Reed hook, Pouches, Aprons, Tape, Paper, Run Out Markers, Section Beam Tickets, Specification Sheets, Set Orders, Stainless Steel Combs, Plastic combs, Tape Measure, Sharpies

Job Requirements: Must be able to read and write, do basic math and be able to use a calculator. Must be able to stand long hours and run standard length section beams according to specifications of the customers.

Education Requirements: 
Basic Written and Oral Communication Skills - Required
Other Requirements: Must submit to and pass a drug screen and physical. Must comply with all company rules, including, but not limited to: safety absolutes, attendance, certain moving transport certifications, and other job specifications.

Physical Requirements:
Standing:
90%
Sitting: 4%
Moving: 90%
Climbing: 20%
Lifting: 5%
Pushing/Pulling: 15% - Section beam trucks, (50lbs. initial force/ 10lbs. sustaining)
Reaching: 20%
Visual Acuity: Must binocularly have 20/40 near vision, 20/40 far vision, and less than 30% periphery.
Hearing Acuity: Must submit to yearly hearing exam and be able to hear emergency alarms, and person to person communication.
BendingStooping: 50%
Safety Equipment: Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes
