Processing Technician
Location: Greenville, SC
Job Overview:
The processing technician is responsible for the tissue processing packaging, and labeling activities in a cleanroom environment. The processing technician will ensure compliance according to standard operating procedures applicable AATB standards and FDA regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Performs tissue processing activities that produce the highest level of quality and yield outcomes in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
- Understands the requirements to properly dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
- Assist in the cleaning and sterilization of all the supplies used during processing
- Maintaining the cleanliness of ISO 5, 7, and 8 cleanrooms
- Assist in packaging and labeling of allografts to be distributed
- Assist in the shipping and receiving of human allografts
- Safely handles chemical reagents and biohazardous waste according to standard operating procedures, applicable AATB standards and FDA regulations
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and SOP’s
- Performs other duties as directed by supervisor
Job Qualifications:
- Standing for long periods of time
- Be able to live 25lbs or more
- High school diploma/GED required
- Medical background preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Constant wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Rigid controlled of sterile environment; possibly work near biomedical and chemical hazards
- Frequent (>75%) fine manipulation using hands and fingers (pinching, touching, pulling, wrapping)
- Background and drug screening may be administered
