SUMMARY
Full Time: 5:30am -4:00pm M-Thurs; Fridays
OT (depending on production needs)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Perform efficient and quality MIG welding of
various metal thicknesses on carbon steel
• Analyze drawings, specifications, sketches, work
orders, assembly, and welding operations
• Set up and adjust MIG welding and cutting
equipment
• Report all non-conforming material to the area
Supervisor and/or Shop Foreman immediately
• Perform work with the help of various hand and
power tools (drills, grinders, sanders, etc.)
• Maintain weld equipment and supplies in an
excellent and safe operating condition
• Complete paperwork/job sheets required for area
• Possess a solid understanding of welding equipment
and welding accessories
• Ability and willingness to follow instructions as
well as the ability to work independently
• Certified forklift operator is a PLUS
• Ability to use tape measure, layout out, and set
assemblies
• Ability to meet production standards
• Maintain good attendance record and be able to
work overtime as required
• Maintain good safety record
• Maintain positive attitude

• Experienced MIG welder
• Requires limited supervision to perform tasks
assigned
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to use tape measure, layout out, and set
assemblies
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree
(GED); or relative experience and/or training for job classification.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions,
short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group
situations to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Depending on job classification, may require basic
math and/or tape measure reading,

to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry
out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few
variables in standardized situations.
