Steel Creek Galvanizing, LLC - ARS Operator

Job Duties and Expectations:

• Pump liquids between process tank farm as required.
• Perform daily routine maintenance on equipment including cleaning and repairing probes, repairing leaks, and cleaning machines.
• Empty residues from systems as need and properly put away
• Maintain accurate inventory of chemicals and material used in process.
• Be knowledgeable of the galvanizing process to make process improvement recommendations.
• Maintain optimal process tank conditions for quality galvanizing.
• Accurate testing of tank chemistry.
• Remove impurity in tanks to prolong life of tanks.
• Safely performs every step of the ARS process.
• Minimizes downtime and delays with efficient processing.
• Maintain safe and efficient work area.
• Maintain proper housekeeping.
• Maintains necessary supplies and consumables for proper operation.
• Communicate equipment issues, damage.
• Report all accidents to Plant Superintendent immediately.
• Shift is 7:00 am until 3:30 pm, some weekend work may be required.

 Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
• Prior Galvanizing experience is desired but not a requirement.
• Must be able to work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures
• Must be able to obtain Forklift/Crane Certification.
• Must be physically able to climb stairs and ladders and able to lift 75 lbs.
• Works independently with minimal supervision. Displays a strong sense of ownership for work.
• Demonstrates initiative, self-motivated, proactive, and works effectively in multi-task environment.
