Quality Technician
Summary Requirements:
Our Quality Technician is responsible for the inspection and testing of products at various stages of production to ensure that the product quality and customer specification criteria is maintained. The position will work with a variety of test equipment and methods for the inspection of processes and products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow specific written and oral instruction for inspection of visual, dimensional and process elements.
- Understand basic GD&T
- Perform detailed visual, dimensional and process inspections to determine conformance
- Perform detailed inspections using Gauge Pins, Borescopes, Optical Comparators, Calipers, Micrometers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)Quality Assurance – Testing
- Perform non-destructive testing and record evaluation results
- Enter, monitor and maintain calibration database, and issue calibration stickers
- Record results on inspection and testing forms and in system, and issue NCRs when data does not meet acceptable limits
- Must have excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must be able to handle and process information in a timely and confidential manner
- Must be able to interact diplomatically with people
- Must be able to read, interpret and understand drawings, routers and process specifications
- Must be able to receive and understand training by various methods
- Must be able to regularly and consistently meet production and quality performance metrics
- Must be able to understand and successfully complete multiple tasks
- Must be able to work independently and make good, sound and timely decisions
- Must be able to learn and accurately use company computer software programs
- Sign-off documentation to authenticate inspections and findings
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- U.S. Citizenship
- Quality Inspection experience
- Experience using gauges for inspection – calipers, micrometers, gauge pins
