What you’ll do as a Scout Maintenance Technician
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Experienced Technician responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing automated systems, including robotics, Siemens PLCs, and automation equipment, while independently diagnosing complex issues and developing skills in programming and advanced systems.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on robotics and automated systems, ensuring smooth production. Adopting the 5S pillars
- Diagnose and repair issues, including clearing robot faults and restoring normal operation independently or with a team.
- Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical (low voltage) components as needed.
- Work with blueprints, electrical schematics, and system layouts to identify and repair machinery, using EPlan to assist with electrical planning and schematic design.
- Exchange advanced mechanical and electrical components, including troubleshooting and diagnosing failures.
- Manage and update maintenance tasks using a computerized system.
- Operate transport equipment to move parts and machinery as required.
- Program robots under supervision, developing foundational programming skills.
- Support machine vision applications, including commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Assist with advanced rigging and shimming tasks, working under supervision as needed.

- Education/Certifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Years of Experience: 3+ years of experience in automation or manufacturing maintenance.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing Siemens PLCs and robotic systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and blueprints, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and BoMs.
- Experience with microcontroller programming for equipment optimization.
- Comfortable using diagnostic tools and instrumentation for electro-mechanical systems.
- Experience operating transport equipment.
- Experience with advanced mechanical and electrical component exchange.
- Knowledge of advanced rigging and shimming techniques (with supervision).
Competitive Wages
Competitive starting wages from $30.00 - $34.00 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications, with a top rate of $38.00 per hour, achieved through successful performance and tenure. Also eligible to earn an additional $0.75 per hour after 6 months and participate in an annual performance bonus program.
What you’ll do as a Senior Scout Maintenance Technician

- Senior Technician responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting complex automation systems, including Siemens PLCs, robotics, and machine vision, while also optimizing systems and mentoring junior technicians
- Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring all equipment is operating optimally. Adopting the 5S pillars
- Lead troubleshooting of complex automation systems to clear faults and restore normal operation independently or with a team.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems and components.
- Interpret technical drawings, Bill of Materials (BoM), and blueprints to assist in system maintenance and troubleshooting, using EPlan for electrical planning and schematics.
- Exchange advanced mechanical and electrical components, including troubleshooting and diagnosing failures.
- Manage and update maintenance tasks using a computerized system.
- Operate transport equipment to move parts and machinery as required.
- Program robots independently, developing and optimizing robot functionality.
- Support machine vision applications, including commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Perform shimming tasks independently, ensuring equipment alignment and optimal functioning.
- Work closely with engineering teams to implement system optimizations, upgrades, and new automation technologies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, using your expertise to suggest enhancements to automation processes.
- Mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on system diagnostics, repairs, and optimizations.
- Heavily involved in the installation and commissioning of new automation equipment and systems.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to minimize downtime and enhance system performance.
