The qualifying questionnaire (questions A - C) will be used to determine possession of minimum qualifications.  Your responses below must be consistent with the information you provide in the employment history section of the application form. SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONNAIRE EXAMINATION

Read CAREFULLY as it will affect your examination score and rank of the Eligible List. 

The purpose of this Supplemental Questionnaire (SQ) is to describe your training and experience as they relate to the knowledge, skills, and abilities linked to the essential functions of this 7240 position.  Only the information you provide in your SQ answers will be evaluated to determine your score in the selection process for this position. NO attachments or additional documents such as resumes, cover letters, or employment applications will be considered.

The SQ will be presented to an expert review panel for an assessment and will be used as part of the examination process to determine candidates' score and rank on the eligible list. This Supplemental Questionnaire will account for 100% of the total weight of the candidates’ final score. Insufficient or non-responsive answers and/or answer that are plagiarized or have falsified information may result in disqualification from the recruitment process.

Describe your experience and expertise in the areas of water meter calibration, repair and maintenance. In your answer please include a description of 1) the various types/sizes of meters you have worked with 2) how you repaired or calibrated the meters and 3) the equipment and tools you used to perform stated duties.

As a supervisor you are required to be intimately familiar with safety rules, regulations and standards that govern the activities of the meter repair shop. Please describe your familiarity with and experience in ensuring regulation compliance with regards to inspection, maintenance, repair and disposal of meters and other supplies or equipment. Include in your response a time when you became aware of a regulation violation and how you proceeded to address the violation. How was the situation resolved?

The Water Meter Shop Supervisor position oversees the management of both employees and resources. Please describe your experience overseeing the work of subordinate employees and managing resources entrusted in your care.  How did you organize your resources and how did you decide allocate your them? 

4.

The Water Shop Supervisor will be using computer programs and applications for timekeeping, work order management, equipment tracking, order processing and various other tasks. Please describe your experience and expertise with computer programs and applications and what capacity which you have used them.

5.

Describe your experience tracking and maintaining appropriate stock of of equipment and materials.  What tools and methods did you use to track inventory?  Include a description of your role in purchasing supplies that were required to replenish stock.
