There is currently one (1) Manager V (CISO) position available in the Information and Technology Services Division of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission. This position is located at 525 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, CA.
Under the general direction of the IT Director and the SCADA Manager for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC), the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is a hands-on and key member of the SFPUC Information Technology Services leadership team. The CISO will lead the Cybersecurity program at the SFPUC. Key duties include staying fluent in the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity standards and the Center for Internet Security Top 20 Controls. Also, maintaining the SFPUC Cybersecurity policies in alignment of the City policies, using automated tools to discover vulnerabilities on SFPUC networks, privileged access management, managing Cybersecurity audits, monitoring threats, and leading Cybersecurity Incident response drills.
• Monitoring Cybersecurity threats
• Running automated Cybersecurity vulnerability tools, creating work tickets to close vulnerabilities and tracking/expediting the closing of those tickets
• Privileged access management

Possession of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, or closely related field; AND
Eight (8) years of verifiable IT Cybersecurity management experience, of which three (3) years must include experience supervising professionals; AND
Possession of valid driver’s license
Two (2) years Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Cybersecurity protection experience

This is a standardized examination and, therefore, test questions and answers are not available for public inspection or review.
Scores attained on the Management Test Battery will be valid and 'banked' for three years, starting from the date of the examination. This means that, during this three-year time period, you will not be required to take the Management Test Battery. The Management Test Battery may be used for many other classes; therefore your test score may be applied to one or more of these classes if you choose to apply to future recruitments. If the selection process for the future announcement is held within one year of the date of this examination and it includes the Management Test Battery, your score will be automatically applied to that announcement. However, after one year, you have the option to either (a) apply your test score to the other announcement or (b) re-take the Management Test Battery. Re-testing is permitted no sooner than one year from the date of the examination and only in association with your eligibility for another announcement for which the Management Test Battery is used.
