Water Enterprise – Natural Resources & Land Management
Public Service Aides in the Natural Resources and Land Management Division earn their training through the various Land Management, Conservation, and Stewardship projects that are constantly occurring in the division. Interns will be able to choose from a wide array of projects in order to pick an environment that best suits their career path in land resource management. The trainings can range from researching methods of public outreach and education to navigating through the diverse obstacles of land management and wildlife conservation. Interns will work independently and with NRLM staff to gain experience of working with local, regional, and federal regulations in a knowledgeable and guiding environment. Work location: San Francisco or Moccasin (134 miles east of San Francisco).
Under supervision, public service aide (intern) will assist in management functions of the Financial Services Department and will carry out complex tasks on a limited basis. The intern will have the opportunity to learn general and complex accounting functions, as well as specific skills, including: research and compiling data, report preparation, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft Financial, office equipment and financial record filing. The intern will be trained to review and process payments, budget allocations, employee reimbursements, cash deposits, and various journal entries, while applying mandated City and Departmental policies and procedures.
