CLASS CHARACTERISTICS
This is the second-level supervisory class in the Legal Technician series. Positions must meet specific criteria for allocation to this class and are not multi-allocated with other classes in the series. Incumbents in this class provide second-level supervision over Senior Legal Technicians and other employees who provide clerical and technical support for attorneys, victim-witness advocates, and investigators in a legal office setting. Incumbents may be assigned to coordinate special projects and/or perform difficult administrative research assignments for department management.
This class differs from the class of Senior Legal Technician because an incumbent in that class serves as a first-level supervisor with limited responsibility for project coordination and administrative planning.
