You must submit a transfer application in order to transfer outside of your department. Human Resources will review your transfer application for eligibility and notify you of your status. Your name will be placed on a transfer list(s) for six months as long as you continue to be eligible for transfer. You may not be notified when the six-month period has expired. If you wish to extend your eligibility for another six months, you must contact Human Resources at (209) 468-3370. If accepted, Human Resources will send your name to County department(s) who request names from the transfer list to fill their positions. You may not be notified of this referral. It is the discretion of the hiring department whether they choose to interview transfer employees.

a. SJGH full-time transfer opportunities This section is for current full-time employees of San Joaquin General Hospital (SJGH) who wish to transfer to a different department within SJGH. Human Resources will review your application for eligibility and notify you of your status.

This section is for regular San Joaquin County employees who have been approved for a Block-Budgeted promotion and have been asked to complete an application. Please print a copy of your block-budgeted application to provide to your department if it is requested.
