The Solano County Probation Department is currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance and Implementation Analyst (Quality Coach). The Quality Coach is a vital position in the Department and is responsible for assisting staff and contracted providers improve and refine their skills when interacting with adults or juveniles during supervision contacts, or while facilitating treatment groups. The Quality Coach will review audio and video tapes of staff and contracted providers, and provide strength-based coaching and feedback. If you are well versed in Evidence Based Practices to include Motivational Interviewing, and interested in working with a Department focused on reducing recidivism and changing lives, Solano County Probation Department is the place for you.
The Quality Coach will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and implementing continuous quality improvement initiatives utilizing evidence based/informed practices. The incumbent will be responsible for providing leadership and consultation to their assigned division within the Probation Department. They will be responsible for design, and coaching, and training of evidence based treatment and client supervision services.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have experience in coaching and mentoring staff in various evidence based/informed practices (e.g. behavior reinforcement or contingency management, risk/needs assessments, cognitive behavioral treatment, interactive journaling, manualized substance abuse treatment, etc.). The ideal candidate should have experience in providing training in several evidence based/informed modalities, public speaking, motivating staff, and the overarching belief that clients can change.
The eligible list established from this recruitment will be used to fill full-time and part-time regular, limited-term or extra-help positions as vacancies occur or the need arises.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in policy analysis, public administration, political science, criminology, criminal justice, social work, statistics, education, and/or a related field; AND
Experience: Four years of experience analyzing data, performing quality assurance, coaching and or training in evidence based practices (e.g. behavior reinforcement or contingency management, risk/needs assessments, cognitive behavioral treatment), and making recommendations for the solution of complex problems ideally within criminal justice organizations or programs.

n Solano County offers a cafeteria-style medical package with health benefits, offered through CalPERS. The County contribution for family coverage for the 2018 calendar year is $1,520.73 per month. The County offers a cash back provision for those who choose employee-only or who waive medical insurance coverage. The County may offer a supplemental contribution for employees enrolled in Employee plus Two or More coverage.
n Dental and vision insurances for the employee and eligible dependents are paid 100% by the County.
n Solano County participates in CalPERS retirement and contributes to Social Security.
n Vacation is accrued at approximately 10 days per year for the first 3 years. Sick leave accrues at approximately 12 days per year.
n Effective July 1 of each year, employees are granted 80 hours of Administrative Leave.
n The County observes 12 fixed, paid holidays per year.
n Employees are eligible to receive an additional 2.5% longevity pay, per level, after the completion of continuous service at 10, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years.

To be eligible, applicant must have served at least 181 consecutive days of active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States and have received either an honorable discharge or a general discharge under honorable conditions. A COPY OF THE DD 214, SHOWING DISCHARGE TYPE (GENERALLY COPY 4), MUST BE RECEIVED IN THE HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT BY THE FINAL FILING DATE.
