    The College Intern salary range is from $17.50-$23.25/hour depending on the number of college units completed or Bachelor's Degree conferred:

    • Lower Division Undergraduate Level - completion of 0 to 59 semester units (0 to 89-quarter units) $17.50/hour
    • Upper Division Undergraduate Level - completion of at least 60 semester units (90-quarter units) or conferred Bachelor's Degree within the past one year. $20.00/hour
    • Graduate Level - completion of Bachelor's degree (or higher) within the past one year or is presently enrolled in post-Bachelor's educational program $23.25/hour

    The Position

    College Intern positions offer college students practical work experience through projects, which are related to the student’s field of study.  College Students employed in this class may be assigned to various County departments.   This recruitment will be used to fill all current and future positions.   

     

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL INTERNSHIP POSITIONS

     
    Experience: No experience required.
     
    Education: In addition to submitting transcripts by the final filing deadline (see "Document Submittal Requirements" section below), proof of current enrollment in an accredited college or university or proof of conferred degree from an accredited college within the past one year is required.

      Extra-help employees who work less than 29 hours per week do not typically receive or accrue benefits of
       regular employees during their period of employment. All extra-help employees accrue .034 hours of Sick Leave for every full hour worked.
