Analyzes, researches and develops strategies to address workforce concerns; reviews proposed recommendations, gains clarity through interactions and provides recommendations to the executive team.
Manage multiple ongoing projects at once both independently and in consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
Lead or support strategic project management, ensuring deliverable quality and timeliness, and stakeholder management; develop, refine and complete various projects.
Actively contributes valuable insight and content knowledge to internal and external stakeholders; supports strategy related meetings; maintain and support key relationships.
Represent the Mayor and the Administrator of Neighborhood and Community Affairs and serve as the city’s liaison to various boards and committees within the workforce development community; attends or monitors meetings of local boards and authorities.
Drafts and disseminates memoranda to relevant city department directors and managers and conducts special briefings to obtain feedback.
Assists the Chief Diversity Officer with related diversity and inclusion duties.
Assists in ad-hoc special project reports as needed.
Performs related tasks as required.
Extensive knowledge of: municipal administration and organization. Considerable knowledge of: modern management practices and procedures; public relations and public information dissemination practices and procedures; federal and state laws relating to job duties.
Ability to: establish and maintain effective working relationships with city officials and directors, legislators and their aides, local boards and committees; write and speak clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings; perform research and prepare information reports and position papers.
Skill in: making presentations in a variety of settings; research and analysis of data.
