Monitors
and evaluates work practices for improved team productivity; schedules
resources for team members’ growth; maintains continuous 30-day forecast of
resources and projects; establishes team metrics; evaluates performance
measures and report frequent updates to WWC Systems Maintenance Supervisor.
Coordinates,
plans job assignments; monitors and supports field operations; resolves team
conflicts and personnel issues; administers discipline when required; provides
safety review.
Conducts
morning team briefings with Team Leaders and attends weekly staff meetings with
Leadership team and agenda forwarded to leadership; attends quarterly round
table evaluations among team leaders.
Assists
with resolving conflicts, recommends progressive disciplinary actions, to
correct or terminate inappropriate or unacceptable work behavior; completes
performance evaluations for Team Leaders and perform 120 day, 1 on 1’s to
develop effective team members, including providing goals and objectives with
subordinate employees.
Develops
effective team members to include performance measures, providing goals, and
objectives for work teams; coaches and motivates other team members; reinforces
and supports the use of business skills, technical skills, while communicating
needs and expectations.
Coordinates
Wastewater Collection emergency operations when such situations arise;
maintains communications with key personnel and organizations throughout an
emergency condition; provides information to the management team under
emergency conditions.
Responsible
for all Maintenance team activities during Wastewater Collection System
Maintenance Supervisor’s absence.
Knowledge
of: emergency response procedures, including
overflow and regulatory agency reporting and processing requirements, creating
SOP’s, Pre/Post inspection reviews, modified duty requirements, various City and
Departmental policies, as well as the ATU agreement; scheduling of wastewater
maintenance, repair, construction, and emergency response plans; City and
Division programs including, Granite viewer, JOBAPS, KRONOS, IMAINT, Tampa
Connect, Claims processing, Skills Matrix process.
Skill
in: advanced
communication, including verbal and listening, networking with other departments,
municipalities, regulatory agencies, etc., and customer follow-up; budgeting,
resource allocation, CIP and long-term planning, performance metrics; regulatory
agencies reporting, IMaint CMMS software; leadership decision making, conflict
resolution, team dynamics, peer assessments, team building, training, coaching,
mentoring, employee development, performance evaluations, including performance
plans.
Ability
to: establish and
maintain working relationships, flexibility and organization; approach and
address issues from a comprehensive viewpoint; provide timely feedback and
frequent updates on sensitive projects.
