This is entry-level recreation work.

PAL Recreation Centers/Parks/Playgrounds

Summer Recreation ($15.00/hour)

 

Summer Recreation Leader: Applicants should be current 17yr old High School students or HS/GED graduates and older; be able to commit to an 11-week schedule; be able to attend paid training sessions. Directs a variety of recreational leadership and educational activities at the Police Athletic League. Supervises participants in individual and group games, arts and crafts, sports, and special activities, in addition to coaching and officiating team activities. May be required to participate in both indoor and outdoor instructional activities, work varied hours including evening and weekend hours, work with participants of various ages, and work at various locations. Must be able to perform work requiring physical stamina in an indoor and outdoor setting. Some experience and/or education working with children in art instruction, recreation or physical education is desired. May be scheduled up to 40 hours weekly.



Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should be current 17yr old High School students or HS/GED graduates. 
You must be able to commit to an 11-week schedule. You must be able to attend mandatory paid training sessions.

Licenses or Certifications

A valid driver's license may be required.

Examination

Evaluation of education and experience. Drug testing is included in all pre-employment processing.
