Delaware's Attorney General, the State's chief law enforcement officer, has a broad responsibility to combat crime, uphold civil rights, safeguard families, fight fraud, and protect consumers in the First State.

Deputy Attorneys General, with critical support from criminal special investigators, victim service specialists, paraprofessionals, and administrative staff, prosecute criminal cases, enforce consumer laws, provide counsel to state agencies, ensure the public's access to open government, protect the abused, and much more.
The Department of Justice Criminal Division is seeking to fill a Legal Administrative Specialist position within the Felony Screening Unit in Kent County. This is an internal posting; only current DOJ employees are eligible to apply.
This position provides administrative support to Deputy Attorneys General assigned to the Felony Screening Unit. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, accessing and printing documents from CJIS and JIC, maintaining and organizing files, managing multiple calendars, pulling files for scheduled matters, and processing the closing of preliminary and plea files within the case tracking system, including maintaining accurate records of those closures.
The individual in this role will also rotate with other administrative staff at the Criminal Division’s front reception desk. The position requires regular interaction with the Court and law enforcement agencies, including scheduling intakes and coordinating bail reduction and video bail calendars.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite. The ability to manage a high-volume workload, multitask effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is essential. Strong interpersonal skills are required, including the ability to interact professionally with members of the public—particularly victims and witnesses—as well as with Court personnel. Excellent spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills are also required.
