This
position manages FOIA and civil subpoena requests for the Delaware State
Police. Primary work includes assisting the agency's Community Relations
Officer with ensuring efficient and
effective operations by carrying out various support activities. Work includes
assisting in FOIA responses, utilizing DELJIS and LEISS for research and
document production, maintaining the FOIA log and assisting the agency in responding to civil subpoenas.
Work
involves creating word processing documents, creating and maintaining Excel
spreadsheets, compiling documents for civil subpoenas and responding to
inquiries from agency personnel and the public.
· Skill in grammar, punctuation, spelling and composition for
clean and concise communication.
1. Six months experience in gathering, organizing, formatting,
translating, or interpreting information into forms more easily understood by
the media or public, and disseminating the information.
2. Knowledge of developing policies, procedures or programs for
dissemination of information to the public or media groups.
3. Six months experience of communicating with the public both verbally and
in written form.
