Job Description

Loudoun County Public Library seeks a proven leader for the position of Teen Services Manager in one of the branches. The manager will support a fast-paced, dynamic environment which promotes learning and creativity, and creates opportunities for teens to be a part of the library. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the management and administration of programs and services for Teens in the branch including facilitating the use of technology such as video, audio and gaming systems. This position will be responsible for the training, supervision and evaluation of department staff. Additionally, the Teen Services Manager is part of the branch’s management team. The successful candidate must demonstrate commitment to, and knowledge of, the mission of the public library in the 21st century. Experience in customer service, teen literature, programming, technology, and community outreach are required. Supervisory experience is preferred.

Job Requirements

Requires completion of a Master's degree from an American Library Association accredited school and one year professional library experience which must include prior supervisory experience. Schedule will vary, including weekends and evenings.

Special Requirements

Ability to lift books and other materials and move heavy book carts. Some bending and stooping required.
