Job Description

The Loudoun County Department of Economic Development is currently seeking a talented, highly-motivated individual to serve as the Communications Program Manager in a dynamic department supporting economic development in one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. This position will assist in setting the department’s communications and branding strategy as well as producing visually appealing marketing materials according to that strategy. The Communications Program Manager will design, lay out and edit brochures, booklets, pamphlets, ads, rack cards, invitations, flyers, exhibit displays, websites, reports, fact sheets and newsletters; develop and maintain an image gallery; develop templates for business recruitment and retention pitches; disseminate department marketing messages using social media; produce social media content; purchase giveaways and commemorative items; transfer marketing materials to portable storage devices; provide support to committees and represent the department at meetings as requested

Job Requirements

Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (such as visual arts or graphic design) and three years direct work experience as a professional graphic artist including experience producing professional-level materials.

Special Requirements

Excellent graphic design skills; proficiency in desktop publishing and website design; ability to prepare attractive reports and presentations. Demonstrate quality writing and proofing skills. Experience using Adobe suite of software products such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
