Loudoun County's Department of Building and Development is seeking a dynamic and talented technology professional for a full-time position as a Systems Administrator. The position will be responsible for a wide variety of technical challenges in support of Building & Development business operations for Loudoun County, VA. Primary responsibility will be in support of the enterprise Land Management System used to support the Building and Development business processes as well as other Community Development Departments within the County. Excellent analytical, verbal, written, and superior customer service skills are essential. Ability to work effectively, both in a team environment as well as independently, is required. Knowledge and skills required: strong Microsoft background with Office Suite and/or Office 365; advanced logic-based troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; attention to detail; superior communication skills; experience with system monitoring tools; and a positive/enthusiastic attitude with a high level of patience. The successful candidate will possess a desire to contribute to the B&D Tech Team’s mission to provide effective, accurate, and reliable information, communications and technology services for the Building & Development Staff. A positive, “can-do/will-do”, team member approach to work is an absolute must, in order to serve the customer-service responsibilities of the team and Department.

Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, and a minimum of three years of experience in business technology system administration and/or enterprise application development or support.
