Loudoun County’s Department of Information Technology is currently seeking a Systems Analyst IV for our Systems and Data Management Division. This is a senior level position, working as an Application Developer, in a team of Systems Analysts that perform a wide range of duties from design, development, testing and maintenance of information systems, to implementation and support of COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) applications. This is a technical development/support position in a team of programmer analysts that perform a wide range of duties including design, development, testing and maintenance of information systems. Application development, application implementation and support experience is required along with a working knowledge of C#, Visual Basic, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, MS SQL Server, XML, jQuery, JAVA, Web Services, SSRS and SSIS. Experience using CSS, Bootstrap, and HTML5 and any Low-No Code tools to develop mobile-friendly web applications is preferred. Project management experience, knowledge of MS Project, ITIL, and Certified Scrum Master a plus. Any experience with Cloud Computing, specifically moving applications to the cloud, is highly desired, as we re-architect and re-engineer our portfolio of applications for the Cloud.
We are seeking an individual with:
- A proven history working with current and recent Microsoft Server and Workstation technologies
- The ability to make technical recommendations associated with data management and associated systems
- A creative and strategic approach to problem solving, coupled with the ability to tackle complex issues
- Demonstrated excellent Customer Service Skills
- A complete understanding of Systems Analysis and Design
- GIS Mapping and Mobile app development (a plus)
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in computer science or related field, and at least 2 years of professional experience in systems design, development, and programming.
A criminal background and credit check will be performed on the successful candidate. A valid automobile driver’s license and driving record is required.
