Summary
The Center for Digital Government named Charlotte one of the top five digital cities in the nation. The City of Charlotte's Innovation & Technology department (I&T) provides executive-level leadership, delivers technology services to city departments and partnership agencies, and coordinates information technology initiatives across the organization to support, enhance and advance citizen service delivery.
This position and the team are responsible for the implementation and support of all CMPD CCTV cameras, license plate readers, Real Time Crime Center, and Command Center hardware and systems. Current initiatives being supported by the Application Analyst includes: Video Management System, Video Wall support (RTCC, EOC, Command Center, Wireless camera Refresh, Interview Room Cameras, New CMPD Division projects, Rapid Deployment Cameras, among other tasks.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Onsite and remote technical support of CMPD body-worn camera (BWC) hardware and evidentiary video administration.
• Subject matter expert on court-ordered video redactions and CMPD liaison with District Attorney staff requesting case-associated evidence.
• Primary support mechanism for CMPD Interview Rooms, Body Worn Cameras and Digital Evidence.
• Primary technical resource for the combined Video Management System implementation of Genetec impacting CMPD, CDOT, CMGC, CFD, and CLT Water.
• Must be able to pick up and move hardware and peripherals used in the department.
• 5%-Must be able to travel from local departments for on-site troubleshooting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Technical
o Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
o Axon Commander software
o Experience using and configuring Axon Evidence.com
o Knowledge of Genetec Clearance
o Advance knowledge of Body Worn Cameras and associated equipment
o Experience using and configuring Genetec
o Knowledge of server and client support procedures
o TCP/IP Networking experience
o Familiarity with the operation of Video Walls systems
o Knowledge of web-based applications and Cloud platforms
o Knowledge of AD permission structure
o Knowledge of Axis CCTV cameras
o CCTV Camera installation and configuration experience
o Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 experience

Preferred Qualification
• Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field with one (1) year of relevant experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Genetec Certification, Axon Certification, A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Requires a High School Diploma/GED with three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a city driver’s permit
Salary
$70,390 - $75,945 Commensurate with Experience
