Summary

This internship will support to all three Finance sections at Charlotte Douglas International Airport: Financial Planning & Analysis, Budget, and Financial Reporting / AR / AP.  This intern will provide support during a historically busy season for Finance as year-end is underway, new fiscal year budgets are being created and capital projects transition funding and activity between fiscal years.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Finance intern will:

Assist Financial Planning & Analysis team with support of capital program including funding source analysis and reporting, project expense activity research and activity in Airport's Plan of Finance financial model.

Assist Budget team with operating budget template updates and operating budget activity analysis.

Assist Financial Reporting team with fiscal year end analysis, AR / AP activity analysis and various financial activity reconciliations.

Preferred Qualification

  • Finance or accounting experience helpful but not mandatory.
  • Experience with excel preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

Current enrollment in an accredited college or university leading towards a Bachelor's degree with major course work in a related field of study specific to the departmental and/or work assignment.

Final candidates must pass a pre-employment drug-screening test and physical examination. During the selection process, candidates may be asked to take a skills test, and/or participate in other assessments.
