This is physician work at the administrator level. The majority of positions in these classifications are located in the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Employees in these classifications supervise or oversee the supervision of all assigned professional, technical and support staff employees through subordinate supervisors.

Employees receive managerial supervision from a higher-level administrator or an executive.

Develops and implements medical guidelines, procedures, standards and controls;

Performs other related duties.

Specific educational and experience requirements are set by the agency based on the essential job functions assigned to the position.
