Provides executive direction to the CLIFTON T PERKINS HOSP CENTER, which is a Maximum Security facility and nearly all of its patients are involved in the legal system in some manner. The facility is commonly referred to as Maryland’s maximum security forensic psychiatric hospital. CTPHC receives, evaluates, and treats several different groups of patients. These include individual who require psychiatric evaluation because they have been accused of the most serious crimes and have raised the Not Criminally Responsible (NCR) defense and/or their Competency to Stand Trial is in question.
