NATURE OF WORK
Chief attorney for the Division that provides direct representation in homicide cases for which indigent defendants may be sentenced to death.
EXAMPLES OF WORK
Assists public and private attorneys representing these defendants in Maryland courts.
Advises on appointment of counsel, provides for investigations, and arranges for expert witnesses.
Trains staff and attorneys in all aspects of homicide litigation, including pretrial motions practice, identification of mental health and sentencing issues, and trial preparation
