The Deputy Executive Secretary Public Service Commission provides regulatory policy advice to the Executive Secretary and the Commission and, in the absence of the Executive Secretary, acts as the Executive Secretary as required by law.
This employee receives general policy direction from the Executive Secretary, the Commission’s Chief of Staff, and the Commission.
Provides regulatory policy advice to the Executive Secretary, the Commission’s Chief of Staff and the Commission;
Directs the development of regulations consistent with policies adopted by the Commission;
Assists the Executive Secretary in the supervision of special research projects on technical matters;
Prepares and transmits orders and directives of the Public Service Commission;
Supervises the procurement and control of consultants;
Maintains a working knowledge of rules and regulations governing the activities of the Commission, both other State agencies and federal agencies;
Supervises the establishment of agency goals and objectives;
Formulates the Commission’s budget;
Functions as a liaison/official representative of the Commission at meetings and conferences;
Supervises the maintenance of official public records of the Commission;
Assists the Executive Secretary in coordinating the work of the Commission with its technical staff;
Performs other duties as necessary to accomplish the mission of the Commission.
