Summary
This position will provide support to the Airline Affairs Manager in day-to-day interactions with the airlines serving CLT including without limitation compiling and verifying the airline activity reports, preparation of the monthly activity report, implementing enhanced airline invoicing procedures, reconciliation of airline invoices and providing analytical and project-related support as needed.
General Information:
• This position has non-standard hours with limited travel. Schedule subject to calls and work during irregular hours, overtime, and emergency calls back to work.
• Weekday office hours apply. Valid driver’s license required with no more than six points in order to retain a City driving permit.
• Certain convictions will disqualify individuals from unescorted access privileges and therefore exclude from employment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide analytical, research and project support to the Airline Affairs Manager.
2. Generate, validate and distribute airline activity reports.
3. Assist in the development and implementation of an electronic invoicing system for the airlines.
4. Assist the Airline Affairs Manager in administering the terms and conditions of the airline use and lease agreements.
5. Coordinate with gate management, property management, development, finance, and facilities departments on all matters relevant to the airlines operating at CLT.
6. Assist the Airline Affairs Manager in research and evaluating air service development options/opportunities.
7. Work closely with CLT Finance to provide relevant data for the creation of Rates & Charges and monitor monthly invoicing.
8. Serve as a point of contact for airline personnel as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Familiarity with airports and airline operations and business models is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Leadership skills with a group or organization preferred by not required.
• Effective communication and writing skills in communications within a large organization or work group (drafting newsletters, notices, policies, handbooks, etc.).
• Ability to learn and apply technology/computer skills as necessary.
• Ability to develop and implement creative new programs and activities.
• Ability to efficiently multi-task while maintaining personable skills.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, creativity and innovative thinking in a rapidly changing work environment.
• Ability to proactively develop solutions to matters that may arise while maintaining an analytical open-minded approach.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualification
Prefer experience with data analysis in either the airport/airline field or a related or applicable field including without limitation government, finance and banking. Familiarity with municipalities and/or airports is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Graduate or Equivalent and five years related work experience
OR
Associate's Degree and three years related work experience
OR
Bachelor's Degree and one level related work experience
OR
Master's Degree
